Loyalist and Patriot membership is available to those persons who can prove that he or she is a lineal or collateral descendant of an ancestor who, during the period of the American Revolution from 1775 to 1783, was loyal to the Crown of Great Britain and further provided that the person furnishes satisfactory evidence of current membership in an organization requiring proof of descent from a Patriot of the American Revolution. The collateral ancestor cannot be more than a third cousin.
Loyalist membership is available to those persons who can prove that he or she is a lineal or collateral descendant of an ancestor who, during the period of the American Revolution from 1775 to 1783, was loyal to the Crown of Great Britain. A person who furnishes satisfactory evidence that he or she is currently a member of The United Empire Loyalists Association of Canada may be admitted as a Loyalist Member.
Patriot membership is available to those who can prove that he or she is currently a member of an organization requiring proof of descent from a Patriot of the American Revolution.
